V.S. Mobley’s merchandise ranges from affordable silk bed linens to organic hemp pet collars. Owner/operator Jordan Garner Bartholomew, recent UA graduate, has teamed with her mother Rebecca Garner to create the destination for an unusual array of gifts, home decor and utilitarian products. Women, men, children and pets will all find something to their liking. Product lines include, Missoni HOME, DwellStudio Linens, Outset Grilling Accessories, momAgenda Planners, Fred and Friends Novelty, LafCO New York Soaps and Candles, Thomas Paul Pillows, Noir Furniture LA and Earth Dog Pet Gear.
Bartholomew states “ V.S.Mobley’s is a General Store in the sense that it has everything you would want for the fun and often cheeky side of practicality, with Men’s, Women’s, Children’s gifts, along with great Pet, Bedding, Books and House-wear areas. The products range from wonderfully affordable to the high-end for special occasion and one of a kind pieces. Its aim is to fulfill every shopper’s needs and fit every budget.”
The store’s namesake is great, great grandmother, Viva Sharp Mobley. An entrepreneurial eccentric: first lady in Kansas to carry a gun for the government as an Indian agent, opened a saloon to pay off a medical bill, survived four husbands, operated an antique store, was always ahead of fashion, even wore high heels to garden in order to look her best.
